Swiss cement giant Holcim has announced the acquisition of 100% of Compañía Minera Luren (CML) and its subsidiaries, a move expected to contribute 25% of its revenue in Peru by 2025. This transaction marks a significant milestone in Holcim’s expansion strategy, representing its third acquisition in the country within the past seven months.
“This acquisition further consolidates our presence in Peru and reinforces our commitment to delivering sustainable and innovative construction solutions. We are excited to integrate Compañía Minera Luren’s strong client portfolio, to whom we will provide comprehensive support through our broad range of sustainable solutions. Together, we will drive progress for both people and the planet,” said Norberto Ledea, CEO of Holcim Peru.
Alejandro Garland, General Manager of Compañía Minera Luren, emphasized the significance of this new phase for the company: “Joining Holcim represents a major step forward in our development, enhancing our operational capabilities, fostering innovation, and reinforcing our commitment to the construction, mining, and industrial sectors in Peru.”
